Write to [email protected]. A person reads every message. Anything about someone’s safety is acted on within 24 hours.
Someone is bothering you
Report them from their card on Crews, from a plan, or from a message in a plan’s chat: tap the person or the message and choose Report. Tell us what happened; we see the content as it was when you reported it, so deleting it later does not hide it.
Block them from the same place. You disappear from each other everywhere in BoredCrew (crews, who’s free, plans, chat) in both directions, and they are not told. Undo it any time from You → Blocked people.
Codes and links
Everybody has a code: the QR on the back of your card in the You tab, and a link that looks
like boredcrew.com/a/HJKMN-PQRST. Scan someone’s code, or open their link, and
the two of you are contacts. A public plan has a link of its own,
boredcrew.com/p/…, which opens the plan, and a handle link,
boredcrew.com/u/…, lets you ask somebody to be added. Without the app, the page
shows the code and says how to get BoredCrew; once you have it, paste the link on
Add people. A code that leads nowhere has been reset by its owner, or
belongs to a plan that is no longer public. Ask for a fresh one.
Notifications
When somebody in your crews, or somebody you added, goes free, BoredCrew tells you: one notification for each person, and never more than one an hour about the same person. Quiet hours, the daily limit and per-crew mutes (You → Notifications) all stop the push and keep the notification in the app, so nothing is lost. If pushes never arrive, check that BoredCrew is allowed to notify in iOS Settings.
Deleting your account
You → Account → Delete account. You disappear for everyone else immediately, your crews carry on without you, and after thirty days everything is permanently deleted. Until then, opening the app lets you change your mind. You do not need to write to us, but you can.
