Terms of Service

Effective 13 October 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and Rany Daioub (“BoredCrew”, “we”).

The short version: be at least 16, be yourself, be decent to the people in your crews, and remember that meeting people in person is your call and your responsibility. We remove content that breaks these rules and the accounts that post it.

1. Using BoredCrew

By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into this agreement where you live. You sign in with your own Apple ID and are responsible for what happens under your account.

2. What you may not do

BoredCrew is a place for people who know each other to arrange things. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You agree not to post, send or do anything that is:

You also agree not to post somebody else’s add code in public. It lets anyone who has it add themselves as that person’s contact, and it was shown to you, not to everyone.

3. Reports, blocks and removal

Every person, plan and message in the app can be reported from where it appears, and any person can be blocked. We read every report, usually within a day, and we act on it: content that breaks these rules is removed and accounts that post it are suspended or ended, at our discretion and without notice where the safety of others is at stake. A suspended account cannot use the app; it can still be deleted by its owner and can appeal by writing to [email protected].

4. Your content

What you post is yours. You give us the permission we need to store it and show it to the crews and plans you shared it with, which is all we do with it. You are responsible for what you post and for having the right to post it. A message can be deleted by its author or by the host of the plan it is in; a plan can be called off but not erased, because the people who were told about it need to know it is off.

5. Meeting in person

BoredCrew helps people who already know each other arrange to meet. We do not vet anyone, and we cannot know who is in a crew you were invited to. Use your judgement about who you meet and where, tell someone where you are going, and report anyone who makes you uncomfortable. You are responsible for your own safety and for anything that happens when you meet, and you agree that we are not liable for it to the extent the law allows.

6. The service

BoredCrew is free. We aim to keep it running but do not promise that it always will, or that notifications will always arrive: they are delivered by third parties on a best-effort basis, and the app itself is the record of what happened. We may change or end features, or the service, and will tell you in the app if a change matters.

The app is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law we exclude all warranties and limit our liability to you to the greater of the amount you have paid us (nothing) and the minimum the law allows. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.

7. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from You → Account → Delete account. Deletion takes effect immediately for everyone else and becomes permanent after thirty days. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, as described in section 3.

8. Changes and law

We may update these terms. If a change matters we will say so in the app before it takes effect; continuing to use BoredCrew after that is agreeing to the new terms. These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, without affecting mandatory consumer protections where you live.

9. Contact

[email protected] for anything about the service, [email protected] for anything about your data.
